Thanks to the USDA Farmers to Families Food Box Program and generous donations from our partners, Clarksburg CAN has sponsored several produce and dairy distribution events. During these events, we provided boxes of produce, milk, dairy products and more to hundreds of people in need within our communities. March 27, 2021 - Thanks to support and generous donations, Clarksburg Community Assistance Network (CCAN) distributed 150 boxes of produce, 187 half-gallons of milk and 225 dozen packs of eggs to families in need in the Clarksburg area and surrounding communities. A special thank you to our amazing volunteers!
February 27, 2021 - Thanks to support from our volunteers and generous donations from local community members, Clarksburg CAN distributed 175 boxes of produce, 190 half-gallons of milk and 203 dozen packs of eggs to families in need in the Clarksburg area and surrounding communities.
January 30, 2021 - Thanks to the support and generous donations of community members and other donors, Clarksburg CAN distributed 210 boxes of produce, 230 dozen packs of eggs, 230 gallons of milk and 300 heads of garlic to families in need living in Clarksburg and surrounding communities.
December 19, 2020 - Thanks to your support and generous donations, Clarksburg Community Assistance Network distributed 205 boxes of produce, 144 frozen whole chickens and 75 heads of garlic to families in need living in Clarksburg and the surrounding communities. We also distributed 720 pounds of lentils, 1,368 pounds of dry beans and 1,584 pounds of rice.
Clarksburg Chamber of Commerce Food Drive - The Clarksburg Chamber of Commerce and their partners hosted a food drive to support Clarksburg CAN and the increased food deficit from this past holiday season.
Clarksburg 5K Orchard Run - Clarksburg CAN was one of two local benefactors who were selected to receive all the proceeds from Clarksburg Church's u5k Anywhere Run. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this event was not held at Butler’s Orchard, as in years past, but instead was held as a virtual 5K run, because dreaming and doing isn’t cancelled.
October 31, 2020 - Thanks to the USDA Farmers to Families Food Box Program and generous donations from our partners, Clarksburg CAN distributed 224 boxes of produce, 1,296 pounds of rice, 1,296 pounds of beans, 196 pounds of carrots, as well as some hot peppers and garlic to families in need in Clarksburg and the surrounding communities.
September 26, 2020 - Thanks to generous donations and a host of onsite volunteers, we distributed 288 boxes of produce, 1,650 pounds of rice, 1,650 pounds of dry beans, 504 pounds of lentils, 340 pounds of sweet potatoes, 40 pounds of sweet peppers, some heads of lettuce and spaghetti squash.
August 29, 2020 - Thanks to numerous donors and partners, along with a group of dedicated on-site volunteers, we distributed a record number of 336 boxes of produce, 750 pounds of rice, 750 pounds of dry beans.
July 25, 2020 - Thanks to our local partners, we distributed 300 boxes of produce and 117 half gallons of milk.
June 27, 2020 - Thanks to several generous donations, we distributed 75 boxes of produce and 163 gallons of milk.
June 13, 2020 - Thanks to our new partnership with the Farmers to Families Food Box Program, we distributed 56 boxes of produce and supported around 178 families.
